Contacts of Monks or Lama

Hi,

Is there a way to speak with Lama or another high-titled monk in the Buddhism hierarchy?

What is the best option to find their contacts or maybe anyone there can recommend or give a quick intro?

That would be an incredible help. Thanks!

The best way would be to find an email on a website & send one.  In general, Tibetan Buddhist lamas are very responsive.  It depends on how famous they are though, but one might be surprised.  I think the same could be said for other schools.

Then there is the question of what you want to talk about, what questions you have, etc.  Then there is the question of etiquette/the form of your communication.

Edit: Also, it is worth distinguishing terms here.  A lama tibetan for guru & means "heavy" - meaning heavy with spiritual qualities - a catch all term for qualified spiritual teachers in the vajrayana tradition.  A monk or nun is ordained via a certain type of ceremony & follows certain rules, etc.  A monk or nun can be a lama or teacher or not.  A lama or teacher can be a monk or nun or not.

When you say Lama , are you specifically looking for a monk in Tibetan Buddhism?

If you are looking to speak to a monk in Theravada tradition then you can reach out to:

1. Thanissaro Bhikkhu:
 https://www.watmetta.org/contact.html

2. Dhammarato:
dhammarato16@gmail.com

Both of these are Dharma teachers, which means that they probably would not be able to give you time for ceremonial purpose.
Write to them in case they may be what you are looking for.

Finding direct contact with high-titled monks or lamas in the Buddhist hierarchy can be challenging, as they are often engaged in their spiritual practices and may not be easily accessible to the general public.  geometry dash unblocked
