DhO London meet: 18th March 2012 - Discussion
Hi all,
A reminder that our meets are now a regular thing on the third Sunday of each month at Vantra in Soho, so the next one is on the 18th of March at 12 midday. The address of the venue is given at the bottom of the post. Bagpuss suggested as much notice is given as possible, so I will be creating new threads soon after one meet ends and bumping them weekly.
For newbies: We are a small bunch of meditators who meet to talk informally about our practices, to trade advice, discuss experiences and theories, report about retreats and retreat centres and generally relax amongst like minds. We're mixed as to age, gender, and attainments, interests including the U Ba Khin, Mahasi and AF practices amongst others. I always find the meets friendly, motivating, honest and fun.
Anyone who has an open and investigative approach to enlightenment/contemplative practices is welcome, including lurkers on this site and non-members. I've had some interest from non-practitioners and those who are into energetic practices etc so I expect some interesting discussion in the next few meets.
If you're feeling a touch shy then feel free to ask questions here or to PM me. I will be along at 11:45 if anyone wants an introduction. If anyone requires assistance in terms of accessibility or transport, we may be able to help.
