Weird surges; near fruitions?

Context: equanimity of 1st path; routine: sit 1hr in morning and 1 hr at night
usually during nightly sit, i'll get pretty deep into the three characteristics and sometimes have these intense surges of bliss/energy similar to an A&P moment or something(usually at the end of outbreath deeply investigating a certain characteristic).
The surge will throw my concentration and for a brief moment I'll think, "wow, did i just awaken?" but after a few moments i'm back to normal.
Are these surges related to stream entry? Do they mean I'm getting close?

it's worth re-reading about A&P: 4. The Arising and Passing Away – MCTB.org
(also, if you want really good advice on how to interpret these surges, consider being more descriptive about the actual/specific experiences in your sit rather than using meditation jargon, here's some good advice: New participants, please read this! - Discussion - www.dharmaoverground.org)
